Grounded

Grounded helps farmers in Africa restore depleted agricultural land to health. They do this together with the farmers, by switching to regenerative agriculture. This is a way of working that restores nature: the soil becomes healthier, water stays in the ground better, and plants grow stronger. Grounded also ensures that farmers can process and sell their harvest. The goal: agriculture that is good for nature and for the people who live off it.

Sustainable & profitable

By investing in Grounded, you help create a future where farmers and nature work together. Grounded’s farms create more biodiversity, less soil depletion, and better opportunities for the people who work there. Farmers receive support in improving their soil and selling their products. This makes their work more sustainable and profitable.

The Future Friendly Fund invests in projects that restore and protect nature. Here you can read how and why we do this.

Grounded in Tanzania

One of Grounded’s many projects can be found in Tanzania. There, the organization works with small farmers who grow spices near the Eastern Arc Mountains. In this natural area, they help farmers with regenerative agriculture. This improves the quality of the herbs and increases farmers’ income, without cutting down additional forest. Farmers also gain access to better markets. This way, the spice industry grows in a way that’s good for both people and nature.

Investment

In 2026, the Future Friendly Fund will invest at least €100,000 in Grounded. The money will be used for soil restoration, farmer training, and setting up local processing facilities. This allows farmers to sell their products better and earn more. Grounded helps them step by step with knowledge and practical support.

Future plans

Grounded wants to invest in new farms in South Africa, Zambia, Tanzania, and Kenya in the coming years. They want to help thousands of farmers transition to a way of working that makes soil healthy and brings back nature. With their training program, the Regen Ag Facility, they teach farmers regenerative agriculture. This is how Grounded works toward stronger agriculture and more nature in Africa.
