Lenteland

Lenteland brings people, land, and food together by making agricultural land communal property. The foundation purchases plots of land and recruits and selects farmers to work on them. They support the farmers in setting up and expanding a sustainable and successful business. This ensures that the farms continue to be used for regenerative agriculture. By letting nature do its work as much as possible, these farmers not only restore biodiversity, but also build healthy soils. At the same time, local communities benefit by being able to buy fair, local, and sustainable food.

Nature & agriculture

By investing in Lenteland, participants contribute to a future where nature and agriculture come together. The Lenteland farms offer a solution to challenges such as soil depletion, biodiversity loss, and the high costs of agricultural land. Lenteland gives farmers a chance to build a healthy business, with help from the local community.

The Future Friendly Fund invests in projects that restore and protect biodiversity. Here you can read how and why we do this.

Investment

In 2025, the Future Friendly Fund will invest €40,000 in Spring Land to enable the expansion of regenerative farms. At least 80% of the investment will be used to purchase agricultural land and buildings, ensuring they retain their value. The remaining amount will be used for farm operations and support. The Lenteland team provides intensive help to farmers in setting up a financially healthy and ecologically responsible business.

Future plans

Lenteland aims to start four new farms in 2025 and further expand the model. By 2030, Lenteland wants to manage dozens of farms and involve thousands of people as co-owners and participants. Additionally, work is being done on joint initiatives, such as compost production and marketing of locally produced products. This is how Lenteland continues to grow as an example of how regenerative agriculture and community thinking can build a sustainable future together.
